- length — up to 5,000 words for any fiction, up to 3 poems per issue
- format — when submitting your work, please mention what name you'd like to be published under as well as the genre your work falls under. work must be in either PDF or docx. allow up to 3 weeks for notification of acceptance.
- simultaneous submissions — feel free, don't even bother telling us
- ai policy — at this moment, we do not accept submissions whose composition was primarily faciliated through the use of AI. this means if you used a prompt in chatgpt or claude to create your piece, it will not be accepted. submissions who have had minor editting or have been proofread by ai may be accepted on a case by case basis. please include this information in your submission email. all work submitted to pensive tchotchke will not be used to help the development of AI.
